The Lincoln Theatre can be rented businesses, groups, or individuals based on availability. The Lincoln Theatre, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation which maintains The Lincoln Theatre. The facility is located at 117 East Main Street in Marion, Virginia, and has a maximum seating capacity of 500 persons.

Seating Capacity: The Lincoln Theatre has a maximum seating capacity of 500.

Performances: Standard rate per performance is $600 or 10 percent of ticket sales, whichever is higher. Non-profit rate per performance is $450 or 10 percent of ticket sales, whichever is higher. To qualify for the non-profit rate, organizations must be a local community group or a federally designated 501(c)3 corporation.  Schools are eligible for a special discounted flat rate of $350.

Rehearsals: Standard rate per rehearsal is $85; non-profit rate per rehearsal is $55.

Technical: The Lincoln Theatre will provide technical staff for our state-of-the-art in-house sound system at a minimum cost of $300 per performance. For renters who opt to contract with an outside certified sound tech and do not have their own sound equipment, a fee of $150 will be assessed to use the theater's sound system.  If specialized lighting is required, technical staff will be provided at a cost of $200 per performance.

Tickets: The Lincoln Theatre will provide professionally printed tickets at a cost of $85 per performance. This fee includes setup, printing, and delivery of 500 tickets. If tickets are sold in the box office, the renter must agree to accept the following forms of payment: cash, check, MasterCard, and VISA. Credit card sales are subject to a three percent fee.

Load-In/Load-Out: There is no charge for load-in during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.) or three hours prior to a performance or for load-out up to two hours after a performance. Hours outside these designated times billed at $30 per hour.

Ushers: The Lincoln Theatre will provide ushers, ticket-takers, and program distributors at no cost to the renter.

Property Damage: Renters are held responsible for damage to facility or property during the period of the rental agreement.

Rental Liability Waiver: The renter shall acknowledge that The Lincoln Theatre is not responsible for any liability in the event of illness or injury to any person or damage to any property during the period of the rental agreement.

Liability Insurance Certification: The Lincoln Theatre requires each renter to obtain a liability insurance policy in the minimum amount of $1,000,000. A certificate of insurance must be submitted to the theater at least five business days before the rental date.
