Another excellent live show taping for our television series including up-and-coming traditional and contemporary bluegrass group, Mountain Heart; the remarkable Jeff Little Trio; the always exciting No Speed Limit; and the unique sounds of Fitzmaurice Band.

The high energy music of the award winning band Mountain Heart will take the stage at the Lincoln Theatre in Marion, Virginia on Saturday, May 15th. This will be the first appearance for Mountain Heart on Song of the Mountains, the respected Public Television concert series now in its sixth season of tapings. “Our newest episodes will hit Public Television stations across America in mid-May”, states Tim White the show’s executive coordinator. “We have 24 new shows that will reach over 100 million people in 2010 across America. It is absolutely amazing how much our show has grown and developed!” says White.

On the same concert taping with Mountain Heart will be southwestern Virginia favorites No Speed Limit with their unique brand of bluegrass music. Also the Jeff Little Trio will appear on this concert with the fabulous piano playing and singing of bandleader Jeff Little who will be making his fourth appearance on the program. Rounding out the evening will be the Maryland based Fitzmaurice Band featuring twin sisters Maria and Sara Fitzmaurice.
